SCIENTIFIC VISION

Developing the science of biology education through education, research, and community service activities by promoting local culture and potential as well as the values of piety, independence, and scholarship to support national development and contribute to solving national and global problems.

PURPOSE

1. Producing prospective Biology Education lecturers who master the theory and its application in the field of Biology Education and can develop Biology Education through research, proven innovations, solve problems with an inter/multidisciplinary approach, accommodate developing local potential/wisdom, and have the ability to use digital transformation (ICT) for learning and follow the development of biological education, have the spirit of Pancasila, supported by English language skills, and have a leadership spirit.

2. Producing prospective Biology Education researchers who master educational research methodologies, understand the characteristics of Biology Education objects and problems, master the principles of analysis and development of local potential / wisdom as a source of learning biology, master ICT and international languages to follow trends and current issues in Biology Education, and have the ability to publish research results in the field of Biology Education in scientific forums and national and international journals.

3. Producing Biology Curriculum and Learning development that understands the basic principles of the curriculum, the characteristics of objects and problems of Biology Education in schools and universities, always following the dynamics of education in schools and higher education, paying attention to local culture and potential, competency needs in the world of work.

4. Producing Media development and Biology Learning Language development that can design and produce ICT-based media and learning materials, both for deep sources learning, learning media, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for biology learning in schools and at Biology PSP.
